Everything and I mean *everything* is constantly being shared from these developer's builds. Check youtube. It is what it is. There are no killer features in iLion. Certainly nothing like going from Tiger to Leopard.

Don't kid yourself. Lion's list of new features is much longer than Leopard's.

Here in England thats a pretty common figure of speech that people use all the time. It doesn't mean literally ages. I forgot this was an American forum, but what does that have to do with anything anyway?

I'm from the US and I even understood what you were saying. It's just figurative language. It looks like people just want something to rant on you about.

Same here, and I understood what you meant as well. From now on, instead of the word "ages", say "I've had my iPhone for a time, times, and half a time". That should make 'em stop and think a little!:D

MW2's plot wasn't too ludicrous. You infiltrate a Russian terrorist cell, you're commanding officer betrays you, starts a war between the US and Russia. The only ludicrous part that I can remember is a nuke blowing apart the ISS.

Mowing down thousands of civilians for now reason.

I got myslef a new 5.5gen Black 80GB for myself and a shuffle for my sister.... the discounts aren't great but aleast they're better than last year and what I saved on the iPods I used for the taxes

Bummer, I really liked the iOS-style scrollbars. My favorite thing about Lion is the inverted scrolling. It feels more natural on a touchpad once you get used to it.

Umm, that's still less than 1%. That's pretty good. That would be out of 100 million calls. 99 million calls were fine.

Not to mention the thousands and thousands of people purposely replicating the issue to show others how it can drop a call. I wonder how many dropped calls were during normal use. I know i've replicated it a few times but have dropped 1 call since launch. And that was in an area with sh***y reception.

Yeah, it was disappointing. Doing it to one booth and then making clear it was them not a fault I would have chuckled at. But the whole place and during peoples presentations. Good luck getting sponsorship and interviews now. Shame, I like Gizmodos stuff.

So, maybe i'm just crazy or something but i really want to try this. I've been waiting to get a Apple laptop some time now and i think this would be a great intoduction to OSX.

And now somebody is probably thinking im going to do this the illegal way.. But NO, several of my friends run OSX so no problem in getting OSX.

I just need help with the install and stuff, so hoped someone else was lose minded enough to help...

First off i have....
P4 (Northwood) 2.66Ghz, 533Mhz FSB, stepping 7 revision c1
Im not sure but think it supports: PAE, SSE, SSE2, MMX

So what build am i to use, so far as i can see it should be 10.4.6 or 10.4.5???

i was running around 90C. i've now taken it down to just 3.9 ghz. it's still up close to around 85C. i really don't feel like messing with water cooling on this system. maybe next time

fair call, added power, costs, fuss etcetc. not worth it i guess
