I was on bench for 4 months in 2001. I have 2 times H1 transfer after that and visited India couple of times. I have regular pay stubs from 2002 onwards.

Using AP will not invalidate your H1. You can enter in AP and work with the same employer as long as your H1 is valid and you transfer it to new employer if needed.
I am 100% sure on what I am saying and will never suggest something to anyone if I myself has not been advised to follow the guideline.
The gentelman who replied last has already stated the same thing, work for the same employer to maintain your H1B if you enter on AP, but you will be a parolee until your H1B get renewed again.

I was told by the University of Nevada -Reno (UNR) that I 140 approval does not change one's immigration status, and the person (or his/her dependent) will not be eligible for in-state tution.
What if I-140 is approved , and the primary applicant (H1) is waiting for the PD to be current, and the dependent wants to go to school. Will this have any impact on the GC process?

IF USCIS revokes 140 for fraud, you got 2 issues
1. Definitely your 485 is revoked.. no way you can port 140 thro' AC21 if it's revoked for fraud, BUT that is sooooo far fetched.. more likely USCIS may question ability to pay or something or other that can be answered
2. In case of fraud, you have to prove your own innocence, meaning that you didn't have any part in the alleged fraud. Which again is rare scenario.
If you don't trust the company.. leave while you are ahead!

Hi,
My CP interview has been sceduled at New Delhi consulate on Aug 26. I do not have any PCC (Police Clearance Certificate). can I get it in India from local Police station. I know it would be possible in India after giving Rs 100- 200. Anybody please give me the format of this certificate which I should ask them to prepare

Looks like you have not been to India for a long time.
Even local police personnel are well educated on why you are looking for police certificate and its value. Also if it is related to US Immigration, most of them have instructions on what to do.
So please be prepared to face it. If you end up doing what you have asked for, it will not be that much cheap.
A coffee in a Level 3 city costs Rs.25, A lunch costs Rs.60- Rs.100. Do you think a PCC can be obtained for Rs.100 - Rs.200 targeted towards US Immigration?
You will be surprised to see yourself counting every $ spending in India. Thats the reality now.
Basic Rule: Be patient on any treatment you receive if you want to get your job done. At this short time, do not send passport in mail/fedex/ups/usps to any place. Even if it is expensive, travel.

When do you think a person with PD of Nov 2007 ,EB3 from India, would be able to file for 485??

there are some beginner level shootng courses, inquire at your local gun store.
make sure you understand the law about keeping the gun (concealed/un-concealed) etc how to carry in vehicle , work safety laws about the gun being present in your vehicle at work parking site.
if you understand the law well then there shoudl not be any issue.
Store's are on 6 month back order on the top selling ones. Even if you get one, getting ammo is a big challenge now a days. They are also back ordered for many days due to hign demand.
I bought some decent amount of gold with my glock too ;)
Dollar may crash any day in next 2-3 years. that is day , when things will go out of control.

Are you sure of this..This is very important for my wife. Her F1-OPT begins in October and I feel that the I-485 EAD may not come till then. She also has a job offer to start in october so we are thinking that it should be ok to start working on F1 OPT till we get our 485-EAD and eventually shift

They usually check tax returns last three years. Some time go up to five year. 2001 just forget it.

Thank you so much for all your response. I am filling up the application online now. My fathers name in existing passport is just mentioned as his first name. Should I fill in the first name alone in the renewal application or should I fill in the first name and last name. I couldnt find answer for this question in the other thread. Same question for mother's name and spouse name too.

Isn't recapturing of H1-B when you are trying to determine if you have used up your 6 year limit.
