As far as I know, there is no "filing of AC21 with an attorney". Please be more specific as this is not clear.
AC21 is something on basis of which you can change employer. If you get an RFE than you simply have to prove that you used AC21 to change employer. That's it.
Some people proactively send a letter to USCIS informing that they are using/have used AC21 to change their employer. But based on various attorneys feedback, opinion is that USCIS does not really use that letter for anything if sent proactively just to inform USCIS that you are using AC21.
I took a new job and transferred my H1B with new employer. But my GC process is with the same old employer and his attorney. Do I now have to file AC21 ? I changed my job with new responsibilities.

I discussed this to a lawyer. He said that even if I file in August, it will still be accepted since I am qualified to apply in July. This is a bit confusing.

Why is the issue date matter?
When was the birth registered? If it says recently, then you should go thru the process.
If the birth was registered proerly at right time, you will not have problems.
Reissuance of birth certificates are very common. Expecting one to own 27 years old document is ridiculous.
The birth was registered just two months later -- but from what I've been reading the issue date (being so recent) does raise some eyebrows as well. The question posed is ... why haven't you tried to get a 'correct' birth certificate issued so far and only got it issued last month for US immigration purposes.
To be really safe, our lawyer is requesting we get affidavits sworn as well.

If you have maintained status all along, you have nothing to fear.Since you have an approved H1, you are free to stop taking classes now. However, when you go for visa stamping be prepared with all the documents to show that you have maintained status. You will surely have a few tough questions to answer so be prepared to convince the visa officer of your continued legal status.Also, avoid going to a consulate in a third country like Mexico or Canada. Of course Nikon can't help support third party lenses. They have a specification (that isn't available to others) that specify how the interface between the camera and the lens should work - but the can't change that specification (or change what the camera does) in order to support other manufacturers lenses. If they really wanted other manufacturers to make lenses to work on Nikon, they would perhaps publish (or license) the specification. But I don't think Nikon is particularly interested in doing so.
Sigma, however, has made it their business to reverse engineer the interface between the camera and the lens, without the access to the specification. They therefore are responsible (even if they plead not so) for any malfunction between the two. However, one of the problems with reverse engineering is that you can only see what's being used at any particular time - the spec may well have some variations that aren't used in a particular setup, but allows for future expansion. This is where Sigma will have a problem when Nikon brings out a new/different camera model.
The firmware for the lens should be possible to upgrade, assuming it's a case of just not understanding some command or such.

I am planning to go on a Hawaii cruise on the Norwegian Cruise line ship (Pride of America) which is registered in the US. My H1-B visa has expired but my I-94 is valid. The Cruise ship only visits islands in Hawaii and embarks/disembarks in Hawaii.
Do I need to worry about my visa stamping or just the Passport with valid I-94 and drivers license should suffice?

stylepoet, while I don't speak for the core-group, I think I represent the majority when I say this: Realistically speaking, if you plan to stay in the US for a very long term and want to do so without any visa hassles (or kids aging out issues that you mentioned), then getting a Green Card (GC) is the best way to go, instead of jumping around non-immigrant visas. And if u r financially capable of being an E2 why not just file for a EB5 GC (which is way faster than EB2 and EB3 these days -- please check out this site for more info)? Sure, there is a difference in the minimum investment reqs. E2 = 200K+ and EB5 = 500k. But if you have lived here for a couple of years (assuming this from the implication that your kids recently turned 21 or are going to turn 21) surely you can makeup the 300k difference. No?
