It was not available to purchase for people living anywhere in New York City, or any of the suburban zip codes in Westchester County or northern New Jersey that I tried.There seems to be some confusion, however, over the cause of the move, with a customer service representative initially stating that "New York is not ready for the iPhone" and that it doesn't "have enough towers to handle the phone." Such an explanation, while a bit surprising, was not considered completely illogical, as New York City has been a common source of complaints from consumers regarding network performance, and AT&T has acknowledged (http://www.macrumors.com/2009/12/09/atandt-addressing-network-performance-in-manhattan-and-san-francisco-high-bandwidth-users/) that it is looking to improve service there.

I do wish people in this forum stop referring to 'the military' as though they were some sort of alien life-forms. 'The military' are people, and even if you happen to be in the oh-so-unique moral high ground of opposing war and violence from your comfortable desk, soldiers deserve the best kit we can afford to give them. Ditto for the returning veterans. And their families.

Nobody is upset that after 4+ years they're STILL using the chrome back?!?!?Yes this still bothers me. It makes great demo, to borrow a phrase from Fearless Leader, but it's scratched in some way in the first 5 minutes and after a month, Ugh... after a year: Scratchapalooza.

I struggled for a while to think of anything I own which is made in the USA but just remembered my mountain bike has a titanium frame made in Washington (though it's Canadian branded) and forks made in California. :)

I'm weird. They are going to cut a 6-inch hole in my back and remove one of my lamina and a disc, and I'm worried about anesthesia.

really there is nothing to worry about at all, you'll be in very safe hands and you should feel fine afterwards, just probably a little sleepy and possibly nauseous (though not in all cases). they do strongly recommend that you have someone come and collect you after a general anaesthetic just to be safe.
my experience of GA is just from a very short operation - i had an arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) on my knee a few years ago. i remember being on the trolley outside theatre and was amazed at how easily the anaesthetist stuck the cannula in my arm and how painless the process was... all previous history of blood tests etc has involved much painful prodding and poking to find a vein! i wasn't asked to count down or anything, all i can remember is saying 'oooh i feel all funny' - someone here described it as a dreamy sort of state which is pretty accurate, you sort of feel a bit faint - and the next thing i knew i was waking up after the op.
apparently people say strange things when they are coming around after a GA. one of the nurses was pulling a plaster strip off and said 'this might hurt' and i vaguely remember mumbling something about it not being as painful as bikini waxing, LOL!!!
i felt fine afterwards, in fact surprisingly perky especially as i'd been up really early that morning. but then pretty tired later on in the day. i hadn't actually been under for very long though.
all in all, don't worry about it, you'll be fine :) good luck with the op!

edit: actually by far the worst thing about the whole op was having to wear big granny-style paper knickers!!! :eek: :o :D

Try and Repair Permissions in Disk Utility and see if that helps.
Then try to diable Bluetooth and then enable it again.
Then try pairing again.
Also change the batteries for giggles as well! :confused:

It's a shame, poor Walmart and Target have to deal with shifts to the economy and distribution, much like the tens of thousands of US workers who have lost jobs due to overseas redistribution, etc., then end up working at their stores for a 1/4 of what they used to make. Digital distribution is a matter of fact they'll just need to adapt to. Play them an iTunes file of a violin. The good news is they still have toilet paper, which I don't see moving to an on-demand system anytime soon.
